Stewart Inn is a beautiful place to stay when visiting Wausau. It is within walking distance to The Grand Theater and the many shops and restaurants in the downtown area. Randy is a fabulous, welcoming host. He is a self proclaimed foodie, and this shines through in the fabulous breakfast presentation you will receive. Our stay at Stewart Inn was a wonderful, wonderful experience!
The Stewart Inn in Wausau, Wisconsin provided a comfortable, warm, cozy, private, and centrally located place for me to stay during my time there. Randy shares his knowledge about the history of the house and similar houses in the area. The restoration is gorgeous and the natural wood glows warmly welcoming guests as the arrive. For this visit, I stayed in the Sheldon Room, which has a comfortable king-sized bed, fireplace, two comfortable chairs, and a desk along with a private bathroom. Staying at the Stewart Inn is like being a guest in someone's home. Randy and Sara are pleasant and knowledgeable about good restaurants and current events happening in the area. The breakfasts that we had were prepared fresh and absolutely delicious. Whenever I return to Wausau to visit my daughter, I will definitely stay at the Stewart Inn and I look forward to my next visit.
Randy was very welcoming and down to earth with lots of recommendations of places to eat and things to do. Plus breakfast was delicious. The house itself was astounding. The room was cozy and comfortable. We had a blast having breakfast with other return guests as well as new visitors. We will be back to visit Wausau and the Stewart Inn for sure. Tell Buster Brown we will bring treats next time.
Spectacular breakfast from Randy our host. We stayed three days, and you could tell that he loved to prepare great food He was also great at providing restaurant recommendations, since he knows the restaurant scene very well The place was attended. Great history, well maintained and very interesting accommodation and shared space.
Our stay at the Stewart Inn was incredible. Randy will welcome you into their Inn as if they were welcoming you into their own home. The inn’s architecture and history has been preserved beautifully, and Randy will share all the knowledge of the home during the great 3 course breakfast him and his wife prepare each morning for their guests. Also to mention, the rooms were cozy, spacious and very clean. And located in a quaint neighborhood, with walking distance to downtown Wausau. We will definitely return!

Located in the heart of a historic neighborhood in downtown Wausau this home has beautiful rooms, an amazing breakfast, and guest details that make for a very comfortable stay. Randy is an amazing host and so very accommodating!
We had such a wonderful stay at the Stewart Inn. The Inn was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the house/room were gorgeous and very clean. Everything was very well thought out and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! The location is perfect as it is walking distance to town and restaurants. Breakfast in the morning was very delicious. We will definitely stay again when we return to Wausau
We stayed in the Sheldon Room. The bed and linens were amazing! This B&B has so much character and beautiful woodwork and original lighting. The fireplace in our room was a much-added touch since it was below zero this past weekend. Randy is the best Inn Keeper and breakfast Saturday was so good! Marie and Mike provided our Sunday breakfast, another amazing meal. Both mornings, the breakfast were gourmet meals! Stewart Inn provides some great amenities, more than I anticipated. I highly recommend this home. We were within walking distance to restaurants, a great winery and a unique speakeasy lounge. I am so happy we did the wine reception Friday night and spoke with Randy and other ladies staying at the Inn. After hearing about the local museum, we added the museum to our Saturday schedule. Randy also had some excellent recommendations for local restaurants. I am looking forward to staying here again in the future!
